Request for Proposals: Restoration and Enhancement of Important Habitats for Fish and Wildlife
The Hudson River Foundation serves as Trust Administrator for the $117 million Champlain Hudson Environmental Trust (CHET), established to protect and improve aquatic habitats and fisheries along the Champlain Hudson Power Express transmission line. Working with the Trust’s nine-member Governance Committee, the Foundation helps build consensus around investment priorities spanning Lake Champlain and the Hudson, Harlem, and East rivers.
The Foundation is requesting Letters of Intent for projects seeking to restore and enhance important habitats for fish and wildlife in Lake Champlain, the Hudson River, East River, and Harlem River. Habitat restoration and enhancement activities eligible for funding include projects focused on 1) planning and feasibility; 2) design and permitting; 3) implementation; and 4) monitoring and management. There is $2,600,000 available under this program for this funding cycle.
